Review on Warm And Durable Winter Hiking Boots With Full Fur Lining For Men And Women By JACKSHIBO by Keith Martin

Great fitting, light duty snow boots (see details). Conditionally Recommended

I'm naturally averse to ordering shoes online. While I am generally ok with clothes sizing, shoe sizing tends to be tricky for me. Generally, I wear between a 10 and 11, with the main limiting factor being the width of the shoes (my feet are pretty wide). I needed some boots for taking the dogs outside, so I selected a pair of JACKSHIBO Hiking Snow Boots.I ordered 10 1/2s, and they fit as expected, and they're even wide enough to not cramp my feet with decent socks on. The faux fur is comfortable and warm, though the rest of the boot isn't quite as warm. The soles of the boots have a bit more structure in the back than I was expecting, but it helps to give your step some "bite" when you're pushing off of your heel. I found that useful when walking on the snow and ice. The boots appear to be made pretty well, and they look ok - there are no odd visual styling quirks. The product page mentions that the boots are "water resistant", but are not "rain boots". I guess the distinction there is that you should not expect these boots, when submerged, to keep water out. Fair enough. However, when I was clearing snow from in front of my storefront, I ended up getting water in through the side of my boot from snow on my shoe. I've included a photo that illustrates what happened. This isn't really a problem for me, it's just something that I have noted as a limitation of these boots. they're fairly weather resistant, but you can't just be trekking through the snow in these.I'm not a brand snob, and didn't see the point in getting anything expensive. Fortunately, the Jackshibos worked out. They fit well, are comfortable, have good traction, and are inexpensive ($43). Assuming you have relatively light-duty requirements, these will work great for you. Conditionally Recommended

Pros
  • They run a little small, but the next size up was perfect. Feet very toasty!
Cons
  • The boots may not be waterproof, leaving hikers vulnerable to wet, cold feet
