Keeping my lettuce safe!
I'm trying to grow lettuce on my deck, which is heavily shaded all summer. While conditions may still not be ideal during the winter, this little green house has kept my lettuce safe through lots of bitterly cold weather. I've done some casual testing and it seems like the temps inside are usually about 8-10 degrees warmer than outside.I'm in the DC area.I'm hoping that, with the lettuce cozy and safe under the tent, once the temps increase it will grow into a good crop.
- Great to keep plants protected over the winter in cold climates!
- Limited air circulation can lead to stagnant air and plant damage
