Review on πŸ”— CURT 80030 48-Inch Trailer Safety Chain: High-Strength, 5,000 lbs Break Capacity, S-Hooks with 7/16-In Ends by Tay Cassanova

It's a tow chain, but it worked fine for the motor pull.

This is a trailer tow chain but I used it with a crane at the shop to change the engines in my 1990 Chevy K2500 pickup and it worked great with an engine that weighed about 500 pounds. I'm not sure what its WLL is, but the minimum breaking strength is 5,000 pounds, so at 1/10 of that I figured I'd be ready to go. It was too long so I shortened it a bit with a galvanized anchor brace so I didn't have to lift the engine too high to clear the front of the truck. The S hooks fit right into the lifting hooks mounted on the engine so I didn't have to buy anything. I was looking for lifting chains and some of them looked exactly like this so I settled on the lowest price which was around $7 in June 2013.

Pros
