Review on Crucial MX300 1TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD - CT1050MX300SSD1: Affordable High Capacity Solid State Drive for Enhanced Storage Performance by Anthoni Hayes

This SSD breathed new life into my Dell XPS 8300 - now it's lightning fast! Otherwise, my desktop is a great machine: two fans, 16GB or RAM, lots of USB ports, but it had a jagged hard drive that took forever to find and load programs. I went to the Crucial website and found a "compatibility checker" that confirmed it worked. The SSD comes with access to the Acronis software, which does an excellent job of creating a duplicate or "clone" of your current hard drive. Acronis copies all of this information almost perfectly to your Crucial MX300. Then - AND THIS IS A BIG DEAL - after your new SSD has received the information and is installed on your computer - REMOVE Acronis completely. I didn't do this at first and the Crucial SSD wouldn't boot Windows 10 programs and what booted was shaky. I went through all the Revain reviews and thanks to two (2) Revain reviewers I found the answer. Acronis is powerful and great, BUT once I've erased all traces of this program from my new MX300, I'm enjoying the blistering speed of the SSD to the fullest. It was an expensive move, but the Crucial MX300 was the cheapest SSD and I got the full 2TB. I'm glad I bought this SSD. ;-) Check if your device is compatible and pull the trigger!
