I commute to work in NYC and one time I didn't put my monthly subway/LIRR pass in my wallet, it slipped out of my pocket and took the subway - to stop something. I tossed back and forth various combinations of buying a strap - but then I failed swiping on the subway without buying anything - and risked losing my card, ID and lanyard - I always had to put it off take my sleeve to wipe it; I finally settled on a purse, but then went through a variety of brands (branded, no-name, and luxury). In the end, this case was won. It had the same thickness as my previous Otterbox Symmetry case, the style of some of those $70+ cases, and didn't add more bulk to fit cards like the Fleck case. I bought Smartish Prop Tart - Slim Fit Collapsible Loop & Kickstand [Grip for All iPhone & Android Phones] - Black Tie Affair, also for convenience and to put the phone on its side, but there is a slot in the case, into which a card can be inserted Lift the phone in landscape mode. Very happy with this case - the looks are lovely too and I keep my commuter card, a credit and a debit card in it and (knock wood) no issues or hiccups.
