So, as always, I read the negative reviews before purchasing. The most common complaints: 1. A white coating remains after use.2. It can't be silicone because it doesn't keep the same color when bent.3. Ice cubes are hard to come by. Here are my answers: 1. The white sediment is called hoarfrost. It is visible in any non-white ice cube tray immediately after you remove the ice cube. When my tray was washed there was no white residue left on it.2. In my photo you can see me crumple the tray. It remained uniformly blue.3. You see a photo where I slightly remove the ice cube. I bought this tray because I wanted to use a hole punch to punch holes between the cube shapes so that when I poured in water, all the cubes were the same height. And you still twist it to break the little ice joints. So this is a photo of me using a hole punch for this and you will see the hole in my last photo. I do rows so I made 2 holes per square instead of 4. I'm sure I'll see a "life hack" meme on social media with my "chip".
