Fantastic game, best for Xbox systems

I've been an avid fan of the series since Dance Central (1). Harmonix did a great job and came up with great choreography for all the songs on their list. I have purchased all 3 of their Dance Central games and have never been disappointed. I love that Dance Central 3 (hereafter DC3) has more options (e.g. a party where players can easily drop in and out of the game) and even a story mode. Many more songs have also been added to the list, from the 70's to the current selection of songs. Story - Despite the crappy story, I enjoyed this aspect of DC3. You are an agent working for the DCI (Dance Central Intelligence) and your mission is to stop the big villain (Dr. Tan) from taking over the world by going dancing in different eras. Starting in the 70's and ending in the present, you have to dance a certain number of songs to defeat the evil Dr. to defeat Tan. I only like the story mode because it lets me try out all the tracks available in the game. Otherwise I might not have played some of the songs myself (I don't like some of the featured songs). The plot isn't really the point, but it offers a great way to get into the rhythm of the dance. Improved UI - I like that the characters have new designs and costumes. I also like how the game's UI looks more modern and premium. Flashcards are also better at giving directions to the player and are very easy to understand without even rehearsing the song. DC3 also features an improved audio interface where players can simply speak commands and the game will follow them. Fitness. The approximate calorie burn in fitness mode (you can turn it on or not) is a great motivator. It's nice to see how many calculated calories I've burned in a given session. The best part is how much fun I have doing it. I don't feel like I'm exercising at all! Some of the choreography can be very difficult, especially at more difficult levels. Difficulty Level - A new difficulty level called "Beginner" has been added. I think it's great because it lowers the learning curve for really new players and allows them to join in the fun without feeling like they can't keep up. As someone who's been playing Dance Central since its release, the beginner mode has been super easy, but I'm glad they added it anyway so new players can join the game! From party to story, from rehearsal to performance, I can choose any mode I want. I like the wide range of modes. I also love that there is no longer a silly interval in the middle of the song (like Dance Central) where you can do freestyle stuff.Song Listing - Fantastic selection of songs from the 70's to the 00's. Also, some of my favorite songs were like the 90's hit "Everybody" by the Backstreet Boys. Harmonix added most hits from all eras and it was great! Additional DLC. If the 46 songs already included aren't enough, there's also a shop where you can buy MORE songs! They cost about 240 points apiece, which I think is a bit too much, but then again, I'm pretty cheap. Download songs from DC1 and DC2 - DC1 and DC2 owners will be happy to know that for a small fee (I think it was 400 points for each transfer) they can import any songs from DC1 and DC2 to DC3. Thanks to this forward compatibility, I now have 126 songs (plus the 4 I downloaded from the store). It's amazing! All in all - a great game, especially if you want a lot of people to join the party mode. Great motivation to lose weight (or at least be active). Great value for all the songs you get.
