I have relatively new spiral piercings on both ears. I sleep on my side so I was pretty unlucky. But I read some reviews about using it to sleep with a new piercing and it's perfect. Just firm enough without feeling harsh and the fabric is nice and soft. The donut hole is perfect for me to put my ear in while I sleep and the rest of the donut provides good support for my head. I like to sleep at a slight angle so I put it on one of my flatter pillows. I am very happy with this pillow for my needs and would definitely recommend it to anyone trying to sleep comfortably with it. ear piercing.
