These bags have replaced non-biodegradable plastic bags. They are durable, well made and inexpensive. I will buy more. Note: I usually refrain from adding "liquids" to the container, but "small amounts" are fine. But no biodegradable bag, no matter how thick, will withstand "too much liquid." If this is unavoidable, throw the entire basket in the bin just in case.
