Review on RYKA Women's Leather Walking Shoe for Ultimate Comfort by Mandy Johnson

Does not meet Ryka standards

First of all, I wish shoe manufacturers wouldn't automatically assume that a woman who wears size 40 shoes has a thicker foot. I don't mean wider, I mean thicker all around. I tighten the laces as tight as I can, but it doesn't help. There's too much room in these shoes. But I've encountered this on other shoes, so I can't blame Ryku for that. I feel like I should try to buy "narrow" shoes but have been told my foot is NOT narrow and is definitely a "B" width. Second, I haven't bought or worn Ryka in quite some time. I remember the Ryka being more premium compared to other shoes, but I didn't really feel that was the case with this shoe. I bought these to wear to work (I walk on concrete floors all day) and while they were fine initially, by the end of the day I could tell that these shoes would not work long term and I was getting blisters on my feet had. Thumb. My first clue that the shoe was inferior would have to be the memory foam insole, which to me is a clear sign that the shoe has no support. They add memory foam to make the shoe feel good at first (then you can't return it because you've already worn it). Well I'm really upset that I spent money on these shoes but I saw the words "memory foam" on the insoles when I opened the box so I should have just sent them back at the time. I'm just very disappointed that this Ryka shoe wasn't made with better materials.
