First, I inserted the (non-tinned) speaker braid into the connector pin on my Klipsch Forte speakers, tightening a little to get to work quickly. As I unclipped them, I noticed that I had cut the braided cable into chunks with screw terminals (the edges look like they were sharply cut). When I use them, not only do they look good, I worry less about an unnecessary wire shorting something out. You also look very beautiful. It also helps to hold the speaker wire well. Getting the angle right (assuming it works in your setup) will help give you less projection from straight behind. For example, it keeps my Sonos amp or receiver clean. When I tighten the set screws they have the right grip and don't slip off. Next time I redo the connections I'll probably tin the wire. I really like that they have insulation around the base. I use 14 gauge braided wire. You can make it bigger or maybe a little smaller (thinner) if you like. I've had banana plugs in the past that were heavy, bulky metal, but they're much better quality. What can I say, they are just amazing!
