I had a white model that I used for years until the plastic battery cover broke and could no longer be used. I regret buying this model because it doesn't hold tare: I tare to zero with the container on the scale, then add food. I've found that when putting food away, the scale always jumps to -1, requiring me to weigh the same food again. This is very frustrating! The color is not silver as shown; It's a dark gray that doesn't suit me. Another awkward thing about this updated model: to change the battery you have to find a very small screwdriver to remove the screw to open the compartment! How idiotic is that? What busy woman has the time or patience to go through all this to change a battery? In the old model it was easy to change the battery.
