Melling pumps and strainers are what I rely on in my 1994 Chevy C2500 5.7L 350. I highly recommend using an oil pump mount or stapling it to ANY brand oil pump. I had the oil pump screen vibrating and it was coming out of the oil pump causing the engine to stall before I could do anything about it.
