Purchased for the front doors of the 2019 Ford F250, unfortunately they are too thick (2 1/2 inches) to mount the speaker on the adapter face. Ford changed the depth of the inside of the door skin by about 2 1/4 inches. Since I was mounting the speakers in the adapter, one of the pre-drilled screw holes didn't want to line up with the speaker holes, I had to drill a new hole next to the original one in the adapter. Sand some of the inside of the plastic door panel around the speaker grille and even then it will stay in place. The screw holes on the side of the door didn't match up either, as this adapter only has two holes on one side and a couple of plastic pins on the other that don't match anything. So I had to shorten the pins and drill new holes in the adapters in the right places. You will also need to purchase screws (with nuts), most speaker manufacturers no longer supply screws or bolts, and neither does this adapter. A 4-40 machine screw at least 3/4 inch long should work. Anyone reading from Metra should consider this depth issue and create a new adapter with reduced depth and matching holes to attach to the door.
