Prevents scratches

It takes a lot of time and effort to cut and attach to furniture. Upholstery pins are not the best tool for attaching sheets to furniture. I tried my best to get the pins all the way in because they kept hitting the wood where I was trying to insert them. Once applied, however, they work and are less expensive than a trip to the vet for untrimmed cats.
