Ordered for fire roasted hot dogs and s'mores. For the most part they did their job. I lengthened the first one, I was careless and the tip broke off immediately. With caution, none of the others had such a problem. The expansion was strong enough for both hot dogs and marshmallows to hold up well and spin. They don't have the greatest range (maybe it's not good for keeping kids out of reach), but it's not bad if you're careful. Once toasted, they were relatively easy to peel, although doing so with the burnt marshmallow required a lot more effort. I wouldn't recommend it for anything heavier than hot dogs or marshmallows.
