Review on Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC Bluetooth Wireless Headphones Featuring Active Noise Cancellation in Black and Silver by Sam Simone

Revainrating 4 out of 5

i really want to love her but I can not.

Pretty good, good. You sound great. The sound quality is what you would expect from a $100 Sennheiser, or better. I can't really tell the difference in sound quality between them and anything else, although they come across as a bit warm but not overly so. For this they start with 5 stars. The first real problem is that you can't use them in any way while they're charging. Bluetooth will be disabled when you connect USB for charging. Loud hiss is heard when connecting the USB charging cable and 3.5mm cable to the source. Sounds like a bad ground loop. It _may_ be just that block, but everything else works fine (after a few minutes of debugging an Amazon-made issue). You can't be a 5-star device if you can't charge and use them at the same time. You will also need a higher quality Bluetooth adapter. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009ZIILLI does NOT work, although Amazon offers it as an add-on. I don't blame them, I blame Amazon for selling me incompatible products together in a bundle. The second real problem comes when you try to use them as a phone headset. It's designed specifically for that and even has pre-programmed buttons for answering, hanging up, voice dialing, etc. The only problem is that other people can't always hear you. Your voice breaks and they complain. It's like the mic can't always pick up your voice. Lose another star for not being able to do what they advertise. Luckily I didn't buy them for that and they play music well. -1 star more, up to three. Also, as others have said, this is not for people with big ears or heads. I can only keep them on for about an hour before my head starts to hurt. I think I need to get back to my HD-280 Pro for at least a few hours a day. Some days I wear headphones for 6-7 hours. Yes, we deduct a star for that. It's actually not that bad because I HAVE to film them for a conference call, but still. -1 star more. up to two. They may be inflatable rather than parotid as advertised. I think it depends on the size of your ears but that's not a fair comparison. They have to fit at least 85% of people's ears, otherwise they're just inflated. minus another 1 star. Oh no! We got 1 star. We will return them.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very expensive
