Review on PYRAMID 100ft 18 Gauge Speaker Wire - Premium Copper Cable for Audio Stereo, Amplifiers, Surround Sound Systems, TV Home Theater, and Car Stereos - RSW18100 by Joey Richardson

Note that the meter's dimensions are deceptive. In addition to the many brands I already own, I ordered 6 rolls of 100ft from 3 different brands at once (Pyramid, InstallerGear, RCA) from Revain. For each brand I ordered 1 roll of 14 gauge and 1 roll of 12 gauge. When I received them all I was extremely disappointed in 2 reels of this pyramid brand. Both 14 gauge and 12 gauge have VERY THIN insulation compared to all the other 5 brands I own. But that's not the biggest disappointment, when I removed the jackets/insulation from all 6 reels I was shocked by these 2 pyramid reels. The 12 gauge pyramid wire (Pyramid RSW12100 12AWG) is slightly thinner than the 14 gauge (yes, 14 gauge) of all the other 5 brands. The 14 gauge wire (Pyramid RSW14100 14AWG) is also slightly thinner than the 16 gauge wire of all the other 5 brands. I was furious because I hate being fooled and in my case the Pyramid does just that. Out of all 6 brands I currently own, the MonsterX and RCA Digital wires have the thickest insulation, and so is the cross section size trustworthy. If you only want savings/low price, don't buy this brand, use InstallerGear instead.
