I bought this for my old laptop because the speed of the built in card is only 50Mbps (download). After connecting this USB drive, my Windows 10 built-in driver automatically detects it and after testing with speedtest.net it gets 177 Mbit/s (download). I tried switching with the cudy driver by downloading it from their website because their CD driver cannot be read and makes a loud noise on my CD. After installation, the speed surprisingly dropped to 80 Mbit/s (download). I then decided to remove the cudy driver and use the built in windows driver instead. Also, this nickname does not work on Mac OS 11 (BigSur). You have to wait or ask the manufacturer to update it.
