All cables were defective, two were causing horrible ghosting and one was unusable (the monitor reported a frequency out of acceptable range) had to revert to old cables that these weren't long enough. The quality of the mating screws was also poor, they had excess plastic blocking the surface of the screw, and they turned without moving the bolt itself.
