Too complex and frustrating for 7 to 8 year olds
She was very happy with this set - it took about 1/2 hour to tie and untie the knots to get the right tension on each knot . I don't think the examples/drawings were well understood. Even I made an effort to get the knots nice and even - a piece of cardboard with pins may be needed to hold each knot in place.
