Review on πŸ”§ Efficient and Ergonomic EKLIND 55166 Cushion Grip Hex T-Key Allen Wrench Set - 6pc Metric MM Sizes 2-6 (6In Shaft) by Ulysses Fincher

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good quality and price

I'm just a hobbyist and have 3D printers and a CNC machine that use metric fasteners. Most of these are socket head screws. These machines usually come with a "tool kit" (or you can buy one) that contains the necessary metric allen wrenches and other tools. Sometimes you get "ball tips" that can be very useful. The two issues I had with these typically short "L-handle" wrenches were that sometimes it's difficult to get into the "tight" spots and then it's difficult to apply torque, without the key coming out. A T-wrench can often solve these problems. I use 3mm a lot, so I ordered a 9" Eklind wrench. I didn't order THIS set at first because I knew I wouldn't need the larger sizes. After getting the 3mm I liked it so much that I went back to Revain to look for other sizes to use. For some reason I couldn't find what I needed at a "good" price. Sometimes a "minimum quantity" was purchased. In the end it seemed like I was paying more for less keys so I decided to just buy THIS set. These wrenches are very good, each one is one size and has a nice plastic cover on the T end. Please note these are 6" wrenches, not 9" wrenches and they do NOT have a ball end. Ball points would cost more and I didn't think I needed them that much. They come in a nice plastic pouch which I don't think I'll be using - too heavy to slip wrenches in and out. I'll probably just drill a few holes in a block of wood and have that block easily accessible. I know some key sets come with nice "stands" but I don't have a place to put them.

Pros
  • T wrenches have a one piece loop handle
Cons
  • Not trendy
