I decided about three weeks ago to build up this hair, I did it so that I can write a review with knowledge of the matter. They don't bleed like most red wines. Always wash anything that has turned red in Luke's warm or cold water. The first wash was a very light shade of red for a few seconds. I went to bed wet with these which is very important because they smell when not dry. I haven't straightened or curled them yet. I have had hair extensions (tape inserts, patches) for several years, I prefer extensions. My only complaint is that the tips of these rings are slightly larger than my silicone rings which means you can't gather enough hair to hold them without tearing the natural hair which is terrible for the cuticles. These are all great, but if using silicone rings/beads try to find ones that are slightly larger. They don't seem to shed except for two, and once it starts they can't be saved.
