Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ CURAD Soothe & Cool Burn Bandages: Instant Cooling Relief for Burns, Assorted Sizes, Pack of 8 by Ryan Will

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Soothes and protects but is non-sticky for sensitive skin

I bought these pads to replace the discontinued Johnson & Johnson First Aid Instant Burn Cooling Patches. I needed pads to soothe and protect a 1 inch burn (from a hot skillet) on the inside of my arm. The hydrogel pad was very effective in relieving and protecting the burn while it healed. It held up securely in the shower. Because the pad is transparent, you can watch the healing process and look out for signs of infection. Everything was going fine until I tried to remove the blockage. Part of the hydrogel pad does not stick to the wound, but the edge of the adhesive was painful to remove and I tore the skin. My skin is thinning and sensitive to the patch. Previously purchased (now discontinued) Johnson & Johnson First Aid Instant Burn Cooling Patches have never bothered me. However, Curad Soothe and Cool Instant Cooling are not a good bandage for me. In the future I plan to use plain non-adhesive hydrogel burn pads and tape them with my favorite tape, Nexcare Low Trauma Tape for Sensitive Skin.
