It's cold at home in the winter, but I live in warm base layers. I've tried waffle underwear from Hanes and Fruit of the Loom and it's ok but a little bulky and short lived. I also have much more expensive mountaineer-type base layers that are warm and durable, but I don't care about their slippery feel (they don't contain cotton). These midweight duofolds seem to hold up well and are very comfortable. A blend of 60% cotton and 40% polyester seems perfect for soft comfort and good wearability. The price is pretty good when they're on sale, not so good when they're not on sale, but they're still around $20.
