The friend of mine Mom wants a new computer and she asked me to help with that. So I searched the internet for a sub $500 laptop that was fast and was a well known brand that I had previously owned. I wasn't sure about the AMD Athlon Silver processor, but I did some research and found that it's not the best, but it's not the worst either. I bought a laptop with an AMD Athlon 5 years ago and it was very slow, but that was 5 years ago so I took a chance and so far it seems fast enough for surfing the web and doing basic computing . I really wanted a 15-inch screen, but for the price and features, most of my options were only 13-inches, but that's fine. There was another brand for $100 cheaper but I didn't want to use another brand that I had never heard of. On this laptop I was able to switch from the supplied s version to Win 10 Home, it was quick and easy. The s version blocks the installation of third-party software. So if it's not available in the Microsoft Store, it won't install in S mode.
