Abrasion on the wide edges after just a few months. I have not washed this item. When it was new I thought it looked great and was comfortable as it is inherently infinitely adjustable. I prefer to wear little or no leather and this was a great discovery for me. However, given the low cost, I wouldn't hesitate to replace it with an identical product if it started to look unacceptable. Good product at a great price but be aware it may not last long.
