I always use one of my smaller bowls to make salads because I feel like a regular cereal bowl isn't big enough. Enter these dishes. They are large enough to hold a normal sized salad. They're also flat, spreading the salad out so it's easier to evenly distribute the topping and dressing — nobody likes to walk on the bottom of a salad and find that all that's left is a naked lettuce. I also use it to serve some side dishes at family dinners. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 is that they seem a little brittle. One of the dishes arrived with a tear down the side. I can still use dishes, but I put them very carefully in the dishwasher or on the shelf.
