I found it almost impossible to use screw ends and I lost more in the space between the outer casing and the inner metal wheel arch. Even when using a long bolt of the same size for attachment, they fell into the space between the wheel arches when screwed in from the outside. Eventually I googled and came across a Molly compression base that compresses into a pancake on the back of the body, but the face doesn't go through everything. It worked like magic and I now have 7 finger tight screws left. If using stud bolts, take an 8 inch long bolt that will fit, drill holes in the body and a larger hole in the wheel well metal. Use a long screw to line up the studs with the outer holes and screw in from there. If you overtighten it, you can loosen the second screw that acts as a guide and it will be very tight.
