UPDATE MAY 2015: After about 18 months the suction cups started sticking to the tub one at a time as I pulled the mat out, pulled out the mug and left. a hole in the carpet where the cup was. 14 suction cups are now missing and after almost two years of use there are 14 holes in the top of the mat. I will continue to use the 5 star rug until it no longer sticks to the tub and then move on to something else. There is clearly a manufacturing defect here - the rug (or at least the one I noticed) does not stand up. I've used this mat for 10 days - it's the best I've ever used for safety. in the shower over the (iron) bath. What you can't see in the photo is that there is a very effective profile on the top of the mat between the bulges that represent the suction cups on the bottom. The protector extends to the edge of the mat on all sides - there is no border on the top, only the protector extends to the edges, o. reasonable and efficient design. Beautiful and long, and of a deep and pleasant blue colour. One reviewer reported tearing the mat when trying to move it with his foot. It's not very thick, so I fold the end in a turn or two when I pull it up after a shower. We'll see how it holds up, but at this point I can say I really justified my $$$.
