My 8 year old is of average height and weight and a size 7-8 fits him perfectly. He has some sensory issues with certain clothing items and hates mesh-lined bottoms and cinched waists, so these smooth, stretchy bottoms are the only ones he'll be wearing. Previously we found a similar style he liked at H&M, but this year the design was too childish. He has a pair of navy blue American flag ones and has worn them at least a dozen times sailing in our pool and on the beach and they look brand new. Buy two more pairs here and ask the seller never to list them!
