We got this to replace our flimsy telescopic snake hook we bought at the pet store. At first I thought I wouldn't like a hook that didn't extend but this hook is so strong and I love the golf club grip. I highly recommend this snake hook, worth every penny and looks like it will last for years. For the record, we use it with our corn snake and 2 ball pythons, neither of which are aggressive, but when it's close to feeding day they sometimes look at our hands like cute juicy rats, so with the crochet we feel more secure inside. I would love to take this outside if we went camping.
