This is a great inexpensive timer extension. I bought this to automate turning my aquarium lights on and off (to ensure low stress levels for my fish and enough light for my aquatic plants to thrive). All you have to do is set the time and click on the pins to set the timer. 4 outlets are connected to a timer and the other 4 have constant power so I plug the aquarium filter and heater into permanent outlets while the timer controls the lights which saves me the trouble of remembering. that there is only one timer, so all timer outputs turn on and off at the same set time. No problem if you want to use it for a specific purpose, e.g. B. Aquarium lights, Christmas lights, etc.
