So far so good. I bought this for my 2 year old granddaughter (I have a vanity and she loves mine). She is in love with him. I would say the maximum age is 4 years. When she sits in a chair, she has to crouch to see her hair, but she can see her face. She likes a hair dryer that blows out a small amount of air. Easy to assemble. Instructions are not required. She puts everything in the drawer/upstairs ❤
