Actually, there is nothing complicated about this stand. It is exactly as pictured and does exactly what it promises. The stand is 15" wide at its widest point and 12" deep at its deepest point. The stand has 3 height adjustment options. However, it's all about adding small caps to the legs. But these small height caps are well made and durable. Height above table with all controls on is 6 inches (maximum). So you can put stapler, paper or even a coffee cup under the table. The top of the stand is made of smooth black plastic. looks ok The 25 inch LCD monitor has been on the stand for a few weeks and the stand hasn't sagged, cracked or had any problems at all. I would probably trust the stand to support something at least 10-15 pounds heavier than my monitor and not worry. If I switch to a dual monitor setup I will buy another stand just like this one. It serves a very simple purpose very well.
