Review of Y30 and Y31

We did a direct comparison of Yaber Y30 and Y31, the image brightness is comparable to the point that I could not notice the difference inside with the light on, but both were plentiful . bright in this scenario. The Y31's focus mechanism is easier to use overall, your kind-hearted but clumsy friend is less likely to leave fingerprints on the lens, it's a bit more difficult to set up, but the "good enough" range is longer. The Y31's user interface is more intuitive and foolproof, as anyone who has held a remote control in their hands in the last 10 years has been able to use it without a manual. There is a button on the Y31 remote that doesn't seem to do anything, but to be honest I didn't investigate it further. The Y31 has fewer options in some respects but better presets overall. The upward tilt on both is pretty primitive in my opinion, with screws in the front legs that you have to manually adjust, e.g. but the Y30 is only 1 foot and the Y31 is 2 and seems more solid. The Y31's fan is noticeably louder, and you can hear big changes when switching from 6800 to 7000 lumens, but, and this was the main deciding factor, the Y31's sound, without exporting to external speakers, is much louder. as well as richer and more diverse. Just a lot better. The Y30 has standard/mono and two different surround settings and it was fine same as Movie/Music/Sports/Game presets but can only export left/right. Y31 has it all, but the built-in surround sound is loud enough at 50% that you can't hear the fan at all, and louder than 60% would be too loud for our backyard on a school night, I couldn't hear much. Tones/details in a few familiar samples we heard that to be honest I hadn't even noticed before and you can customize each tonal range/frequency as well as the ability to integrate with Dolby Surround Sound. For streaming gigs or your favorite tunes over subdued cartoons, which is what I use my projector for most of the time, I think the Y31 is undoubtedly the way to go. I could hear small tones/details in a few familiar samples we listened to, which to be honest I hadn't even noticed before, and you can customize each tonal range/frequency. as well as the ability to integrate with Dolby Surround Sound.
