Review on ✨ Ultimate Cleaning Convenience: Hoover BH53310 Cordless Lightweight Cleaner by Mark Hanson

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Very uncomfortable design - won't buy again.

We bought this vacuum to replace a Hoover 2 in 1 cordless vacuum (BH52120PC) which broke after around 3 years of use. The vacuum cleaner cleans well and its nozzle makes it easy to get under the sofas. But it's cumbersome. All of the weight is on the handle, making forearm tired and sore after use. Although it's really nimble, it will hurt you. The old 2-in-1 design never irritated you in use and it was nimble enough. Because all the weight is on the top, it can't be stored standing up like the old 2-in-1 models. It will tip over if you don't install the included wall mount. It also detracts from the design as you can't just roll it around without getting in the way. Now we need to drill holes in the drywall to accommodate the cordless vacuum. As mentioned in other reviews, the buttons are poorly placed. As you hold the pen, your thumbs press the button. You also need to manually switch carpet mode when moving over floor mats etc. The vacuum seems to be louder than older 2-in-1 models, but I measured around 70-72 dBA at 5 feet in both cases. The difference seems to be that the 2-in-1 sound has been spread across lower frequencies, while that vacuum seems concentrated on a single, higher, piercing frequency. It takes a little more shouting to talk about and the dog hates it. We'll probably replace it with another cordless/convertible vacuum that can at least stand on its own when stored.
