I have three of these cameras. Out of the three, one consistently won't turn on and won't connect after a power outage. It is absolutely incomprehensible to the mind how such a problem could go literally YEARS without a solution. Reports of this issue appeared in 2018 and have been increasing ever since. Google's answer, which comes as close as possible to brain death, is that you have to unplug the camera and plug it back in for it to reconnect. What should we do with the remote cameras while this is working? Like I said, it's amazing that no reputable company has been solving problems like this for literally years. Another thing to keep in mind is that the AI features advertised for this camera and software are almost entirely fake. A two-year-old child can distinguish moving shadows from people much better than this camera. Again, it seems like the marketers of this product are almost entirely out of touch with reality. Please note that I'm not talking about additional features here. EVERY OTHER DEVICE MY OWN reconnects after a power failure. That there is no such SECURITY camera should be embarrassing. And subsequently, the stated requirement that it must be manually plugged back in to reconnect seems to indicate that the customer service department doesn't fully "get" it. Update 5/23/21: When trying to use audio with this camera, I found that it only supports half-duplex audio. You have to press a button on your device, speak, and then press a button to indicate that you're done speaking and the person next to the camera can speak. (Google searches show that their IQ models support full-duplex audio.) I find that downright ridiculous, and anyone selling such a device with half-duplex audio capability should be ashamed. Accordingly reduced rating to one star. And that doesn't begin to express my frustration.
