Review on 300 Count Cotton Safety Swabs with Wood Handles by Julie Bauer

Firm control (but no quality control)

Yes, it's hard to go back to paper sticks or cotton swabs with plastic sticks after someone has experienced really "hard control" with good quality wooden sticks. But just to get to the point. NO commercial cotton swabs about 3 inches long on the market today are as good as the old cotton swabs that unfortunately were discontinued about ten years ago. thick sticks and lots of cotton and great quality control. This era is END. Other than that I've tried every other brand I could find and this is the best out there. They have enough cotton not to puncture the shaft and scratch or cut your ear, probably about 2/3 of what the Q-Tips had, but enough to get the job done fairly deeply without fear. some tend to break in the middle, mostly on the first bend, and it doesn't matter if they don't get stuck in the ear or anything, all modern brands have this problem, you can tell when you take them thin chopsticks and relatively little breakage, for example 80% of chopsticks are beautiful. y worthy my boat floats, in this post-wood era of cotton swabs. So I'm happy with this B grade product. I do worry at times about the cotton, how much bleach, chemicals etc was used in the processing of the cotton, whether it was washed properly (wherever it was made) and in which one Extent of the degree of sterility expected. I mean, hey - we put them in our ears! No company makes them for the love of the human ear. I was just filling a small remaining niche when Q-Tips decided that this product wasn't making enough profit. All available brands are (IMHO) too expensive, and the cheapest ones are really useless and dangerous. By the way, used cotton swabs made of wood (with earwax) are great for starting a fire. if you're not tired of saving a bag or jar of it until winter.
