You are so pretty! As other reviewers point out, these salt and pepper shakers are NOT metal - they are plastic, but they feel solid. I ordered these hoping they were plastic - my 6 and 8 year old girls are the main users of these shakers which will surely keep falling on my butcher counter. (You see where I'm going). Anyway, the color and size of these shakers are amazing - the computer color is almost the same as in "real life"! " and "P" - my girls and husband LOVE this piece! I purchased a Trudeau 4-1/2" salt and pepper shaker to match the following kitchenware colors: Old Dutch Darla Napkin HolderSignature Houseware's Sorrento Ruby 3 - Set The canisters are a deeper ruby shade than both of these accessory collections, but they're close enough that I was happy to put shakers in front of both (this point) and no leakage issues as other reviewers have mentioned. I would buy them again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend them to anyone who wants traditional shakers in a modern colour.
