They are pretty but small

I read a review that she ordered two sizes up - she was smart. I usually wear between 2x and 3x depending on where I buy. I have this in 4x and I would like to increase the size. I'm post menopausal and have a hernia in my abdomen that bulges out when I'm not in shapewear. I'd rather not wear it every time I wear this top. Not sure if I want to return it or just go up a size. I ordered black and periwinkle, black seems slightly smaller than periwinkle
