I'm trying to eat healthier and am going back to veggies. I don't like much, but I eat cucumbers. They cut clean. My wife uses it to slice carrots and grate cheese and it works just as well. The graters aren't easy to clean, but the included cleaning brush helps clean the inside. Watch your fingers when brushing the outside. It's pretty easy to cut your fingertip, but I guess that means it's sharp, which helps with shredding. The slicer is actually the hardest part to clean. This is a good value as it costs less than the KitchenAid branded slicer.
