The material used was good, but the cut edges protrude too much and are quite torn.

It seems to work, but it's too wide around the perimeter, the holes aren't round, the neckline is very "torn". Looks like it was carved by a blunt-toothed beaver. I glued it to the water pump body and then took an Xacto knife to trim the excess material from the inner and outer perimeter. It doesn't leak, but I could just make a gasket out of standard gasket material with the same amount of effort it took to trim these.
