In general a good solid device! However, a different assembly order is recommended.

This unit required a bit of fiddling and I didn't follow the instructions as I wanted to make sure it was square before tightening the screws. The overall stability of the device is solid, although I have no doubt it will hold up well. Love the look and the convenience of the drawers/tilts is worth it! Here is my recommended assembly order: 1. Attach (as indicated) the horizontal back bar between the uprights. * Legs upholstered in black / lowered at the side, perforated on the top of the stand. *DO NOT FULLY TIGHTEN THE BOLTS (you may want a little "wiggle" at this point)2. (Also as indicated) Insert the bottom drawer.3. Add a horizontal front bar. *DO NOT FULLY TIGHTEN THE SCREWS (you may want a little "wiggle" at this point)4. Add the top plate of the unit, secure with screws, maybe half screwed in (this will ensure the posts are square).5. Add the remaining drawers, making sure they slide smoothly in the direction you want the interior pieces to go (I have the smaller pieces in front). *Note: One of the drawer wire brackets was not square (one end was too wide). ) so that it slides into the slot from only one direction and stays stuck when fully inserted. I know it was a box because the other two boxes worked fine on all levels in both directions. So my other half used my anvil and machinist's hammer to lightly squeeze the side supports of the problematic box so it slides evenly on both sides. He stood the box on its edge (perpendicular to the anvil), with a support wire on the anvil, and hit the problematic corner directly with the hammer to make it less wide/rounder. Do a little, check fit and repeat if necessary. Any smaller hammer will do for this / hard and well supported surface.6. Now you need to tighten all the screws evenly, making sure the drawers still slide in and out easily as you move from screw to screw. Once the unit is square and the drawers slide out nicely, add the locking screws/nuts. You can't use a small screwdriver, but they seem to hold up well if you finger tighten them. Once you have screwed the screw into the stud, hold the tip of the small screw against the drawer support with one finger and twist the stud with the other hand to tighten it. Overall I'm happy with it (despite the catch). A drawer that was too wide on one side would work, just the opposite way I wanted it and it would be a little sticky on the last push/first pull. However, it was pretty easy to fix. Now I can paste the box in the desired direction.

  • Good product for the price
