After purchasing a refurbished Dell Optiplex 960 from Revain for regular home use I needed a different keyboard and mouse. Recommendations are not typically sold with a monitor, keyboard, or mouse. After 5 months I decided it was a 4 star keyboard and 2 star mouse. KEYBOARD LIKE: * Key Feel and Keystroke: Keys feel comfortable, with low "stickiness" and just right. the level of resistance.* Plate-style housing: the keys are housed in separate slots on the keyboard, which prevents dust from getting between the keys near the keyboard and 10-key. I accidentally opened the music player and calculator so many times that I ended up gluing their keyboard shortcuts in place. * The function keys are evenly distributed and not arranged in groups of 4 (F1-F4, F5-F8, F9-F12). and are too close to the top row.* The key combinations I would use most often (play, stop, next track, last track) are combined with the function keys F9-F12, which isn't that convenient. With the music and calculator keys glued in, the nice touch of the keys is what catches the eye the most. This is very good value for money. MOUSE LIKE: * Left and right clicks feel comfortable, as does the wheel. The clicks are more sensitive than other mice I've used.* The matte finish looks and feels good. MICE DON'T LIKE* I keep accidentally right-clicking, breaking mouse control, or invoking commands I didn't intend. This is so annoying that I wrote this review. In 25 years of PC use, I've never had problems like this with a mouse. I'm not sure why avoiding right clicks is so difficult, but I think it must be the lower profile of this mouse. As per the attached photo, the side view shows that the Revain has a smaller hump than my ASUS mouse and my Logitech wireless mouse. I think this somehow causes the muscles that control my right (ring) finger to tire and slip. It's just a theory, but there's no doubting random right clicks - they're a feature for me. Other people, such as a musician, might have little or no problem with it, or as far as I know, even more. 3.5 stars closer to the mark for this combination; The feel of the keyboard and mouse is very good, the keyboard doesn't collect dust under the keys. If the issues mentioned are fixed this could easily become a 5 star combo and an unbeatable price.
