Review on ๐Ÿ’ง GROHE 32138002 Concetto Single Handle Starlight Faucet: Top-Quality and Stylish by Keegan Herbert

Poor quality, big disappointment, customer regret

Oh my god! I bought this faucet based on previous purchases of Grohe bathroom accessories and I have a wonderful Grohe kitchen faucet in my current home. The previous kitchen and bathroom fittings are about 15 years old and work great. That's why I bought this Grohe faucet for my bathroom. Although the design is great, this faucet will drip water from the spout when the hot/cold water knobs are in the fully closed position. Since the installer has years of experience (and has returned to fix the problem without success) I have come to the conclusion that this faucet was poorly made. That's the deal. This faucet was expensive, but it was a German design, built in Mexico from scratch. I have had issues in the past with the Toto bathtub faucet which is made in China/Thailand and not Japan. I love Toto design and admire the devices when I visit Japan, but buying Toto devices in the US has quality issues, so I chose Grohe this time. And it looks like Grohe has the same quality issues when they use a global supply chain and manufacturing system, which means they take a quality product, screw it up completely, and thereby downplay their brand. I'm doubly disappointed when I consider how much greenhouse gas was wasted at this global manufacturing company just so Grohe (and its American owner) could maximize profits. Grohe, I'm doing you a huge marketing favor and I advise you to move everything (design, parts sourcing and production) back to Germany so that customers can rely on the quality of your products. We pay for quality and performance, we don't get it.
