Not a bad picture frame, but. the inconsistent processing of several batches leaves a lot to be desired. I confess I didn't read the full description of the item and thought (for the price) I was getting a solid walnut frame. My first and second shipment of 18 frames left me breathless as they looked and felt like real walnut frames. Nice. The glass and substrate looked flawless - AAA rating. My third delivery of the same identical order (this time 9 frames). left me deeply disappointed. The front looked identical to the first two parties. Nice. The support behind the scenes looked like a semi-final. These frames contained some type of raw pressed cardboard alongside the rest of the frame. It was at this point that I realized these frames were made of pressed cardboard coated with some sort of laminate that looked like real walnut frames. I can take the blame for not reading the full product description. However, the incomplete internal processing is the fault of the manufacturer. The incomplete finishes make these frames look a bit cheesy. I am attaching photos showing the differences between the first batch I received and the last one. I don't know what to do now as I wanted to buy more frames to complete the project I'm working on. Good frames but the buyer should beware of the inconsistent production of this product. Updated November 2017. Ordered 8 more frames (my project needs about 45 frames and I'm about to buy several). The finish of the laminate on the back of the frames was found to be poor with cracks in one such laminate and poor seating of the laminate ends on 5 out of 8 frames (see photo). As I buy more of these frames the quality seems to go down - not enough to return, but close. The quality of control seems inconsistent as the pace increases. So far the facades are very good. I hope management will take care of it and fix/improve the workmanship.
