Well working charger
I was afraid my laptop would have problems when it stopped charging completely; but no, this confirms it was just a previous charger that made weird hissing noises for weeks and eventually died. The new one works perfectly and doesn't make any weird noises, which are basically my two criteria for computer chargers at the moment.
