Not wide! I always order New Balance wide shoes and have had no problems so far. It's a different style than I usually order and that may have played a role, but these shoes were so narrow in the middle near the arch. I went for a 4 mile walk at the local gym and quit early because my legs were starting to bother me. When I got home and took off my shoes, my foot was so sore I could barely walk and I had to put ice on it for most of the evening. I tried again the next day and only made it to the gym before returning to my car and putting on my old running shoes.
