I used this rope to replace a couple of tie downs on my tent. The first trip to a state park in the west has proven its worth. Returning to the tent in the dark with a half-extinguished flashlight, I quickly noticed two reflective lines, which I replaced from 15 feet away. Several times in my life I've tripped over lines in the dark when I wasn't paying attention to them. After seeing these lines in the dark I will replace all of my tent lines with this reflective string and do the same with my raincoat. Just a great security feature for next to nothing when you need to roam your tent at night. Finding a toilet in a park is easy, finding a tent on a pitch-black forest night is not that difficult. Trust me, you'll be glad you have reflective material to guide your way around the "gussets" that hold your tent/raincoat in place. Also helps eliminate those chilling screams inside the tent after your helper wakes up horrified to find half of the tent collapsing after you tripped over it due to an invisible old non-reflective guy line. Yes I know! .don't ask about the gun.
